World AIDS Day 2014 is December 1

After 30 years, we are finally close to an AIDS-free generation. For those of us who lived through the 1980s and 90s, we never thought this day would come.

There is much to be thankful this year. There is still more to be done. But, it is heartening to see the work and effort of so many finally bringing hope to so many touched by AIDS/HIV.

Are you wondering what else you can do? How about…

Instead of buying an umpteenth pair of Happy Feet socks or another photo-on-wood montage from LivingSocial, celebrate the life of a loved one by giving online to your favorite AIDS group or organization today or tomorrow on #GivingTuesday!

Remember, socks only last a few months, but an AIDS-free generation lasts–well, a lifetime!
